February Happiness List

February Happiness List

Looking back on February we packed in a lot for the shortest month of the year. Here are nine things that made me happy this month :)

I submitted all the material for my next book, New York Block by Block. It will be coming out this fall and I’m so excited to share more about it. It is now with the designer who will do the layout before we do the final round of edits.

We had a little Valentine’s Day party for my daughter and a few of her friends. They crafted cards, ate chocolates, and had pasta for dinner. Five year olds are just the best.

My mother-in-law came to visit us for a week and help out with child care over the half-term break. A huge help since I was on the final push to finishing my book.

Celebrating my husband’s birthday. It has become a bit of a family tradition to go to Sticks n’ Sushi for dinner and Udderlicious for dessert. A winning combo in all our books.

We celebrated Pancake Day by making my grandma’s danish pancake’s. We like to put nutella and raspberries on them and roll them up. Delicious.

Kew Garden’s Orchid Festival. This is always a highlight and it was absolutely stunning this year.

For March my book club is reading I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy. I just finished it and it was a funny and heartbreaking at the same time.

On the last day of the month I’m doing the Chess Valley Walk with a few friends and am looking forward to spending the day walking.

We got a car. We last had a car 10 years ago and sold it just before we moved to London. I’m excited to have a car again. It will be arriving in March, and we are already planning weekend trips.
