London's Best Bookstores

London's Best Bookstores

I always stay up past my bedtime reading. I have a never ending reading list and am always reading a book or two. Currently, I am reading White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, and next on the list is I am Not Your Baby Mother by Candice Brathwaite. I'd love to know your favourite bookstores in or around London and what you are reading. Here are some of my favourites: West End Lane Books- A charming local bookstore with an assortment of events and a great selection of books. Primrose Hill Books- Located in darling Primrose Hill, this shop carries a great selection of new and secondhand books. Owl Bookshop- Local and full of charm, with events including a children's story time every week. Word on the Water- The floating book barge with events and a fun selection of books. Wellcome Collection Shop- A quirky selection of books, curated to match the atmosphere of the Welcome Collection. Persephone Books- Pick from the selection of 128 books by 20th century women writers. Daunt Books- One of my favourite London bookshops. They host great events and is an all around dreamy shop. Stanfords- If you need a travel book, this is the place to go. Full of guides, maps, and books for every corner of the planet. National Theatre Bookshop- The Southbank is full of second hand booksellers, but if you find yourself looking for plays, or a uniquely curated bookstore pop into the National Theatre and browse their collection.Hatchards- The UK's oldest bookstore! Check out their great list of their favourite 200 novels of the past 200 years. John Sandoe Books- Full of interesting books and amazing staff you are bound to find a book to take home. Books for Cooks- A shop entirely devoted to amazing cook books. If you need cooking inspiration this is the place to go in Notting Hill.
